Anthem of Itapecerica da Serra - SP
There still exists in this world a little corner
that God once said: 'I will preserve
and if I had to live on earth,
I would choose this place to live.'
Small village in the middle of nature,
simple people, but with enormous hearts.
The faith is so strong that in Sunday mass,
it feels like touching Jesus with hands.
In its forests flow rivers of clear waters,
there's a little train waiting for me at the station,
the birds come here to build their nests,
the Rainbow is already our citizen.
If one day it rains, the next day the sun rises
and pretends to be the owner of the place,
but night comes and brings the still dizzy moon,
accompanied by the stars, what moonlight... what moonlight!
Who arrives here, drinks this water, stays here.
Takes roots and like a stone, buries here,
I'm talking about this Itapecerica
that is so mine, so ours and belongs to the Serra.
I'm talking about this Itapecerica
that is so mine, so ours and belongs to the Serra.
I'm talking about this Itapecerica
that is so mine, so ours and belongs to the Serra.
I'm talking about this Itapecerica
that is our Itapecerica da Serra.
