Sings a hymn in a beautiful setting

Resting on the blessed mountain
Like a vigilant and brave watchman
A stone friar prays and meditates
On the destinies of the bravest people

Through work, honesty, and altruism
The region became an example
And its people, a standard of civility
Made a temple of Christian virtues

This land has already given great children
To commerce, science, and the church
Whose life is a book that contains
