Nobleza de Arrabal
Homero Manzi
Nobleza of the Suburbs
In a little ranch in Alsina
I have the home of my life,
with a fence of chain-link
and a wisteria corridor.
There's a painted water tank,
under a grapevine arbor,
and a delicate camellia
trembling on the edge.
And there you are, Frisian horse
you're my luxury of a worker.
Happy nag, with blue mane,
famous all over the south.
When the sun shines on Sunday
so as not to be lazy,
I bring the bucket from the well
and refresh the corridor.
And taking advantage of the coolness
I sit under the grapevine
and to the rhythm of my guitar
I sing love verses.
In my little ranch in Alsina
I peacefully spend the hours,
next to the love of the woman,
who respects and adores me.
And, between her love and the things
that adorn all my luck,
I only fear that death
will take me from that corner.
