Caminos del Arenal
Horacio Guarany
Paths of the Sandbank
Oh old payment how I miss you so much!
Long path, sandbank road
Wide estuary that in calm water
Gets lost in the distance, bordering the orange grove
How many times you waited for me
Sitting, very pensive
At the gate of your ranch
Or in the shade of the willow grove!
From afar you heard
The clinking of my horse
With well-polished gear
Or scarce upon arrival
Years have passed and I don't forget you:
You live in my mind the same; just like yesterday
And even the dawns bring me memories
Of that afternoon, when I swore to return
How many times you waited for me
Sitting, very pensive
At the gate of your ranch
Or in the shade of the willow grove!
From afar you heard
The clinking of my horse
With well-polished gear
Or scarce upon arrival
