El Ultimo Guapo en la Bristol
Hugo Varela
The Last Tough Guy in Bristol
You saw me in the sea, because I like it
when the water caresses my skin
the waves play with my body
and I feel like in the water I am Gardel.
Letting myself be carried by the waves
I discover that the beach is not in sight
and in the middle of that sea that is so deep
suddenly I realized, I can't touch the ground.
And I start swallowing water in heaps
for my taste it has a lot of salt
it's very annoying in my lungs
and all I can do is scream.
Help, I'm drowning, get the lifeguard
Mr. lifeguard, that's what I pay you for, come save me
Help, I'm drowning, keep my regards
and while I drown, I sing this song
gulp, gulp, gulp, gulp, gulp.
