Pedacito de Cielo
Ignacio Corsini
Little Piece of Heaven
The house had a gate
Painted with complaints and love songs
The night filled with dark circles
The gate; the ivy and the old balcony
I remember you laughed back then
When I told you my best verse
And now, a whim of time
Reading those verses, we both cried
The years of childhood have passed; have passed
The gate is asleep from so much silence
And in that little piece of heaven, your joy and my love stayed
The years have passed, terrible; wicked
Leaving a hope that will never come
And I remember your mischievous gesture after that stolen kiss by chance
Maybe it got cold with the breeze
Your pale laughter; your clear voice
Maybe it escaped from your dark circles
The gate; the ivy and the old balcony
Your eyes of burnt sugar
Had golden distances in the Sun
And today you want to find like back then
The bronze gate trembling with love
The years of childhood have passed; have passed
The gate is asleep from so much silence
And in that little piece of heaven, your joy and my love stayed
The years have passed, terrible; wicked
Leaving a hope that will never come
And I remember your mischievous gesture after that stolen kiss by chance
