Siga El Corso
Ignacio Corsini
Follow the Parade
That colombina put in her dark circles
Smoke from the bonfire of her heart
And that marquise with the crazy laughter
Painted her mouth to kiss a clown
She crosses from the box to the car
The nervous and delicate serpentine
Like a picturesque brooch
Over the carnival nights
Tell me, who are you? Tell me, where are you going?
Joyful little mask that shouts at me as you pass by
What are you doing? Do you know me? Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
I am the mysterious little woman you seek
Take off your mask, I want to know you
Your eyes wander through the parade seeking my anxiety
Your laughter affects me! Show yourself as you are
Behind your diversions, every year is carnival!
With a mocking sound, the horn blasts
From a lively lady in organdy
And amidst shouts and laughter, a Maragata joke
Swears that passion for me kills her
Under the funny signs
The faithful of the jolly God pass by
And the carnival starts
Lighting up the world with its bells
Tell me, who are you? Tell me, where are you going?
Joyful little mask that shouts at me as you pass by
What are you doing? Do you know me? Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
I am the mysterious little woman you seek
Take off your mask, I want to know you
Your eyes wander through the parade seeking my anxiety
Your laughter affects me! Show yourself as you are
Behind your diversions, every year is carnival!
