Palabras de nuestro tiempo
Illapu
Words of Our Time
If it were just to go back to what was
And not take the lessons from yesterday
I would refund what was taken by fire as law
Snatched without considering me
Honestly, erasing cannot be
Rather death than betraying you and that one
Who in the path, to have what I have today
You gave life with unwavering faith
It's about being able to exercise
The freedom to be an actor and propose
On the path we want to take
So that the free man can flourish
While a child on the street asks for a dime
And for school, has hunger and the neoprene
Freedom will continue to be just paper
A fruitful dream that doesn't quite come to life
Hand in hand, let's go together once and for all
To knock down the wall together
The imposed selfishness that blinds us
That your problem is mine, ours, and theirs
We can't wait for some miracle to happen
To do what we must do
To become aware of our rights and duties
So that the free man can flourish
