The Hummingbird

This morning brought
A lovely telegram
An eager hummingbird
Told me that the sap
From insects and frogs
Announced the end.

I saw through the window
Illicit swarms
As if it were a hurricane
They distributed their banner
With great fanfare
For that truth.

A tremor of squirrels
On alert and watchful
That something is about to happen
Then a hidden word
That jumped naked
Made me understand.

I went out, like the sun I went out
To the lively square
Of people, colors
Shouting happily.

I ran to the sea and looked
After the fish came
The living shipwrecks
That I lost yesterday.

Restless birds
Guarded fire
During the darkness
Under the arch of their wings
The longing made me light
To want to shine.

Wandering lost
Poor of free will
Condemned to wander
They leave exile
Sharing the sky
They fly back.

I went out like the sun I went out
To the lively square
Of people, colors
Shouting happily.

I ran to the sea
And looked after the fish
The living shipwrecks came
That I lost yesterday.

I danced, with the air I danced
As the cells opened
And seeing my father return
I cried, I danced.
