Freedom is wide like the wind,
the wind, so free, is voice and name
and a vigilant movement intoxicates man
in his eagerness
to achieve
the astonishing nation.

It was kneaded with fire, earth, and water,
freedom is the fruit of a forge
that is older than time and nothingness,
forged by
passion
with stubborn reason.

As long as we are free, we will live
flooded with light and not with shadow,
freedom is earned through setbacks,
it is not given
as a gift:
she is deserved.

We must grasp her star every hour,
we must light up shining torches
and crown her with the flower of the day
freedom was born
in a wild cradle.
