I saw ideas grow a thousand times here
I saw smiles planted somewhere in this city and everything is no longer there
I saw a world collapse around me
I saw friends fly to some place beyond waiting for me in peace
when the illusion is only disappointment
when efforts drowned in this desert where nothing lasted, I shouted:

I don't want to just survive
while they try to exist, I would rather live
a life with meaning
while they are asleep, I want to live

Ignorance grew
hatred corrupted us
greed shattered the honor of this town
and what about the future?
your privacy is on a television
your words spied on by the inquisitive eye are sold to the highest bidder
when hope is now betrayal
