[Praise to the Virgin of Carmel]
Let us celebrate, then, on this day, the praises of the Virgin Mary
She is the gracious Flower of Carmel, from whose womb sprang Jesus, the blessed and most beautiful fruit

Say, my lips, blessed words
in praise of the Virgin Mother of the Carmelites

God save you cloud, - seen from Carmel
for the whole world - most beautiful omen
It was in this figure, - that Elijah saw
that the devout people - already distinguished you

Blessed cloud, - promising cloud
carrier of grace and life
O blessed hour, - spoken by God
when in Nazareth - you were born

God save you Virgin - Handmaid of the Lord
who heard the Holy Word - with love
Mother, all things - you pondered
and the Holy Word, - in them, you listened

You were the chosen Mother - of the incarnate Word
and to the world you brought - a divine message
God save you teacher - of the best teaching
“Do everything - my Son tells you!”

O Blessed Virgin, - Mother of Jesus Christ
“Here is your Mother!” - your Son tells us
On top of Calvary, - Mother, you received us
And with your mantle - you protected us

In this purgatory - of fatigue and pain
your Scapular - is a sign of love
Support all - who in oppression
seek in Jesus - liberation

Glory to the Father, to the Son - and to love as well
God who created you - for our good
Now and forever - and without end, Amen

Let us pray together
Come, O God, to our aid, through the glorious intercession of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, so that we may, under her protection, ascend the mountain, which is Christ. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, in the unity of the Holy Spirit. Amen

Let us pray together
Lady of Mount Carmel, Mother of God and our Mother, receive the gift that we bring you. In your hands accept our ability to believe and love, to serve and hope. We entrust to you everything we are, have, or do: our mind and body, our health or sickness, our joy or pain, our struggle or destiny. Make us grow, O Lady of Mount Carmel, each day anew, in faith, hope, and charity. Ignite in our hearts the fire of your great love. So that our whole life becomes a song of praise to God. Amen
