Índia do Araguaia
Irmãs Freitas
Indian of Araguaia
On a moonlit night, it was very early in the morning
I set out to travel, prepared my gear
I went to Araguaia to meet everyone there
But when I arrived there, I sailed through the waters
I was contemplating
It seemed at every moment through the lush forests
A voice calling me
Indian of Araguaia
You are so beautiful, you are my love
This Carajá Indian, she is the queen of flowers
Slowly I paddled, my boat approaching
And I went out to search, I was in despair
And I followed his trail, and he was waiting for me
And within the dark forest, his beautiful and pure image
I stayed contemplating
Today this rare beauty is a precious jewel
He is the owner of my home
