A Filha Que Volta

The Daughter Who Returns
I'm the daughter who returns tired from life
Carrying on my face the dust of the road
To throw myself into the arms of dear mommy
Whom I left tired at the farewell
Who cried so much at a farewell
Today returning to the old home
Bringing the tiredness and the wounded soul
To ease the wicked longing
And when I arrived at that corner
Looking on the road, I saw mommy
Her divine face bathed in tears
That I left crying so many years ago
When I saw the tears on this holy face
I tried to console her, but I also cried
I embraced the one I adore so much
Never in this life will I leave mommy
