Today I woke up too pensive
Childhood memories in my parents' arms
I used to play on the street, and I was happy
And my biggest trophy was a scar

I remember spending all the time I had
Playing soccer, and also house

End of the year at the beach
My mother forced me to wear a skirt
And I ran on the sand, dirtied my whole outfit

And I played my guitar
Every day a new song
It was me and God, and it was so good
And now that I've grown up, I've learned
