One was from Ciudad Valles
Leader of the farmers' spree
Pedro was his real name
A brave and determined guy

Pablo was from Matehuala
A primary school teacher
Loved by the whole town
For the good work he did here

She adored him too, you see

And Juan was from Río Verde
A man with lots of cash
He had big orange groves
And was a gunslinger, brash
Like those men who kill
Those who betrayed them in a flash

On August 25th
The very day of the fair
He called his three fiancés
To the bus station there
For the devil was loose
When this tragedy laid bare

Juan, seeing his beloved
Couldn’t stand the betrayal
He pulled out his pistol
And shot all three without fail
Fleeing in his truck
But he died on the curves, pale
