Paixão de Cristo

On the Galilean shores comes Jesus
Imagining that cross
And the pain He would feel
In Gethsemane, He prayed and said
Father, let Your will be done
Be greater than my own desire

And the crowd shouted: If you are the Christ, save yourself!
But He chose to drink from that cup

Master, forgive me, I was in Jerusalem too
Just like Pilate, I said amen
I washed my hands there as well

Master, one day I also denied You
Didn’t recognize You as my King
Among wrongdoers, they placed my Jesus
In His arms on the cross

But on the third day, He conquered death
And triumphed in glory
And throughout the land, the shout was heard
Jesus has risen!
