El Pajaro Chogui

The Chogui Bird
Legend has it that in a tree
An indigenous Guarani boy was perched
Startled by his mother's screams
He lost his grip, and falling, he died
And within his mother's arms
By a strange spell, he turned into a chogui
Chogui, chogui, chogui, chogui
Singing, looking over there
Flying, pecking, he flew away
Chogui, chogui, chogui, chogui
How beautiful, how beautifully he goes
Getting lost in the turquoise blue sky
And since that day, the indigenous boy is remembered
When you hear like an echo of the choguis
That cheerful and boisterous song
Of the precious orange tree that repeats its singing
Jumps and pecks the oranges
Which is his favorite fruit, repeating endlessly
Chogui, chogui, chogui, chogui
Singing, looking over there
Flying, pecking, he flew away
Chogui, chogui, chogui, chogui
How beautiful, how beautifully he goes
Getting lost in the turquoise blue sky
So the legend went, the Guarani legend
Chogui, chogui, chogui, chogui
He's flying and getting lost in the turquoise blue sky
Chogui, chogui, chogui, chogui
Chogui, chogui, chogui, chogui
He's flying and getting lost in the turquoise blue sky
Chogui, chogui, chogui, chogui
So the legend went, the Guarani legend
Chogui, chogui, chogui, chogui
Chogui, chogui, chogui, chogui
