Un Muerto Encierras
Ismael Serrano
You Enclose a Dead Person
Like so many early mornings locked in a car,
On a street without light, a street without a name,
The two face each other, looking at each other slowly,
After dedicating themselves to love and work.
They dry their sweat, they dry their sweat,
Just as they have learned, they have not forgotten.
He thinks 'nothing is the same anymore,
Life must be elsewhere',
Where he cannot see it because she blinds him
With golden prisons, with relentless love.
They will never return, they will never return,
They will never return to do anything for the first time.
We will tie flocks of sparrows to our wrists,
We will flee far from here, to another planet.
Take me where you are not,
You enclose a dead person.
He gives her hands full of lies as a gift,
Her body that he caresses no longer seems so beautiful.
Yesterday his pupils were a solar eclipse,
Today they are black lagoons where evil gathers.
What a pity, what a pity,
What a pity, everything ends.
She no longer loves his vices, she looks for him in his eyes,
An angel flies by and meets another.
Yesterday his two arms were strong branches
To take shelter, today they are tying ropes.
What a pity, what a pity,
What a pity, everything ends.
We will tie flocks of sparrows to our wrists,
We will flee far from here, to another planet.
Take me where you are not,
You enclose a dead person.
He finally decides to vomit out his ideas,
She knows it and calmly waits for him.
Without calm, this prisoner plans his escape,
She doesn't look at him, can't stand his breath.
The end has come, and they will find
In his heart, desert sand.
Losing his calm, he becomes very serious,
Panic spreads and a horrible fear invades him.
His cowardly mouth says: 'I love you.
Never leave, don't go far.'
And she starts to tremble, she starts to tremble,
She starts to tremble: 'I love you too.'
We will tie flocks of sparrows to our wrists,
We will flee far from here, to another planet.
Take me where you are not,
You enclose a dead person.
