Pedra e Areia

Stone and Sand
I used to be a stone, now I'm sand
Through the twists and turns of the world
I'm the shadow of a past
I used to be strong and today I'm carried away by the sea
In my forgotten days
I used to resist
Storms, strong winds
Or an artist trying to sculpt me
And the pieces they took from me
Each had a beautiful function
I was a statue of someone important
From a simple house, I was the ground
And in the end of it all, I saw myself almost dust
So small and lost with nothing else to live for
That's when I understood that I'm not just a grain
There's a little bit of me scattered in you
