El Temblor
IZAL
The Tremor
The days were so slow
The construction so difficult
So many hours of life
That were left breathless
The fall was so fast
The explosion so frenetic
Lake of alcohol in this house
Tongues of fire in every room
Gunpowder in every word
Each shot fueled the tremor
From this tower of wax and mud
From this ice palace in the Sun
From this straw and esparto hut
That fell upon us with a breath
On these ruins that will cry today
The procession is heard
Of souls without race or language
They work from sunrise to sunset
They raise this house again
They build the walls of this room
New walls guard us
They scream in fear with each tremor
It shouldn't be so easy
For this wild gust
To bring down the foundations and split them in two
Security shouldn't be so fragile
Stupid blind deaf and rational that built
This tower of wax and mud
This ice palace in the Sun
This straw and esparto hut
That fell upon us with a breath
