How kind a friend is Christ
He carried our pain
And sends us to take
Our cares to the Lord

The sorrowful heart lacks
Joy, peace, consolation
This is because we don't take
Everything to God in prayer

You are weak and burdened
With worries and fear
To Jesus, eternal refuge
Go with faith to expose your ailment

Your friends despise you
Tell Him in prayer
And with His tender love
You will have peace in your heart

Christ is a true friend
He showed us this with proofs
When to take with Him
The guilty one He incarnated

He shed His pure blood
To wash away our stain
Joy in life and in the future
In Him we can attain
