Swallows
Leaving the Metropol
We went to a bar
To talk like grown-ups
About the future
It was a calm topic, no rush
And the future, vast, why rush
Why rush?
There, happily, we let ourselves be
Everything was clear, easy, safe
When in her poetic and pure universe
The waiter arrived
What will you have?
And what will you have?
Then we looked at him sideways
With the disdain of dreamers
And with the 'me, a tea', barely murmured
She went back to hanging colorful curtains
And on the wall of a shaded courtyard
Plaster swallows and other delights
Plaster swallows and other delights
Plaster swallows and other delights
Leaving the Metropol, we went to a bar
There happily we let ourselves be
Everything was clear, easy, safe
When in her poetic and pure universe
The waiter arrived
What will you have?
