Igrejinha
Jair Pires
Little Church
More than longing, I feel for my little church
From that time when I converted
I still remember, everything was different
When the believers gathered in the presence of the Lord
Who doesn't remember the tiny little church
The powerful messages from the pastor
And the choir that sang joyfully
Glorifying God in grace and love
In that time everything was different
There was peace and fear in every believer
They were lives consecrated in prayer
My God, how good it was, now it reminds the heart
With longing, I remember the elderly ladies
From that holy prayer circle
And the miracles the Master performed
Many were baptized in the spirit of the Lord
My little church, more than longing
From that time that remained in the heart
More than longing, my little church
From that time when love was preached
Unfortunately, that time has passed
Only memories live today to tell
Of the little church, so modest and tiny
Whose time ends, in verses I will sing
From that time many believers have already departed
They are in the glory of the Lord waiting for me
Soon, I will also depart
Joy and eternal peace, together we will have there
