A Majestade, o Sabiá
Jair Rodrigues
The Majesty, the Mockingbird
My thoughts
Take shape, I’m traveling
I’ll go wherever God wants
A video tape that captures inside me
All my unconscious
In a natural way
Ah! I’m heading now to a place that’s all my own
I want a lazy hammock to lie down in
Around me, a symphony of sparrows
Singing for the majesty, the mockingbird
The majesty, the mockingbird
I’m off now to take a shower under a waterfall
I want to dive into the woods
Where Oxossi is the God
Here I see beautiful, wild plants
All giving me passage, perfuming my body
Ah! I’m heading now to a place that’s all my own
I want a lazy hammock to lie down in
Around me, a symphony of sparrows
Singing for the majesty, the mockingbird
The majesty, the mockingbird
This journey inside me was so beautiful
I’ll return to reality
To this world of God
For my self, this so unknown
Will never be betrayed
For this world is me
Ah! I’m heading now to a place that’s all my own
I want a lazy hammock to lie down in
Around me, a symphony of sparrows
Singing for the majesty, the mockingbird
The majesty, the mockingbird
