Meu Jesus

My Jesus
When I remember the cross, I start to imagine
How much pain He suffered in my place
When I remember that He heard His people cry out
Crucify Jesus and release Barabbas!
His heart felt so much pain and anguish
But Jesus didn't give up when He heard the crowd
He went all the way, surrendered on Calvary
And on the cross that was meant for me, He shed His blood
My Jesus, I can never repay what You did for me
For I know that heavy cross was meant for me
But You carried it for me, You carried it for me
My Jesus, as long as there is life in me, I want to worship You
I wish I could see Your face now
But I will wait, for one day I know I will meet You
His pierced body was taken down from the cross
They placed my Jesus in a borrowed tomb
But on the third day, nothing could stop Him
The angel told Mary: 'He is not here'
My Jesus, how can I repay what You did for me
For I know that heavy cross was meant for me
But You carried it for me, You carried it for me
My Jesus, as long as there is life in me, I want to worship You
I wish I could see Your face now
But I will wait, I know that one day I will meet You
