Cena de Campo
Jairo Lambari Fernandes
Countryside Scene
My mule sniffs a downpour from afar
I see the water sleeve in the hallway
My poncho jumps out of the suitcase
Like a ranch on the mule
And the hat collapses
And water drips from the brim
My course is straight to the houses
Where my flower lives
And the waters jump from the box
From the stream that was calm and revolted
And the horsemen line up
Against a downpour that broke out
This is a countryside scene
On a day when the sky collapses
Quenching the ancient thirst of my corner
But the poncho gets soaked
And I already see the gate
Of the ranch that shelters my heart
Certainly the beauty awaits me brewing a mate
Sprinkled with welcome and affection
In her arms a sweet embrace
Loaded with caresses
Your eyes, my brunette
That the moon bathed calmly
Where I drown my sorrows
It's enough for me to live
