Sadness of knowing that at another time
The streets of your quiet neighborhood
Enjoyed your beloved image
And I was unaware that you were in me

Sadness of knowing that at another time
Someone who wasn't me wrote a poem
So dedicated to you, that you kept it
Just like you keep the one I write to you

But you know? This sadness of mine
Suddenly disappeared
It was chased away by the spirit that has your smile
Telling me that finally you are with me

Sadness of thinking about so many years
So many feelings you've had
Emotions of love and so much pain
Of which I couldn't be the cause

Sadness that the lack of encounter causes me
Sadness for the empty years
Of not having discovered with you
The most intimate places
