God is the author of our story, and what we don't understand is that He will be the one to finish it
And to finish it has to be like this, He will shape us
And we have to go through it
And behind every wound that will open
From within them will bloom His best!
Like gold refined by fire
You will soon understand what He will do
It hurts but it's generating intimacy, that's how the process has to be, beginning, middle, and end
If it doesn't hurt, it doesn't leave a mark, if it doesn't leave a mark, it doesn't heal
Being shaped hurts, being treated hurts
And every scar generates testimony, and every trial becomes experience, and every tear turns into joy
Every desert becomes a oasis in time
And every search generates obedience
And every wait generates dependence
Every story has an author
And in this one, there is the finisher, Jesus!
