Drømmereise (Dagen Var Lang)

Dream Journey (The Day Was Long)
The day was long, but now it's night
So now I’m singing a song,
And if I’m lucky,
I’ll get you to come with me on this journey again
The moon reflects itself and sees everything,
And tells me that
You just laid down in your bed
It’s time for a dream
Do you hear the grass growing,
Do you hear ten thousand voices whispering in chorus?
And slowly but surely luring you to the dock
Where I ask you if you want to come aboard,
Now I’m setting sail
I want to ride a wave
That never reaches land
Lost in a song
And a dream I hope lasts long
You don’t even know that every single night
In every single dream
You were sitting in my boat
But always when the sun rises again, you have to go home
So today I want to ask you:
And I row through the storm,
Through the bad weather and wind
But you don’t ask me to pull the oars in,
You just lie there on your back and look at the sky
Do you want to come aboard
Now I’m setting sail
I want to ride a wave
That never reaches land
Lost in a song
And a dream I hope lasts long
