Para Llevarte a Vivir

To Take You to Live
From what was said without thinking,
from what I keep silent and don't say,
from the things yet to come,
from the traps of chance,
from the letters of destiny,
I have a colored pencil
with a little book saved
to write it with you.
If untimely luck
sets you up,
if there's no way out,
if grace and fortune
turn away from you,
I have a green lantern
in case you get lost at night
and the moon abandons you.
I have the rose of the East,
the gold of the rising sun
and whatever you want to ask for.
I have the treasure map,
I have the Moorish palace,
to take you to live.
Of everything I kissed,
I don't consider a kiss lost,
so it won't bite me again
with yesterday's madness
your mouth against oblivion.
I keep a spare kiss
to roll on the grass
when you come with me.
The south I promised you
has another border to the south,
the strings of my lute
keep searching for the light
further south of the chimera.
I have a deserted beach
and a carriage at the door
to show off by your side.
