Desnuda Tengo El Alma
Javier Ruibal
Naked I Have The Soul
Naked I have the soul if I don't take
your mouth that saves me with each new kiss.
How desolate the sky, how uncertain the moon,
what loneliness of nights and empty sheets.
How orphaned my belly without your trace,
my chest without your hand, my luck without your star.
How cold the senseless clocks,
what sad calendar, what stopped time.
Naked I have the soul when I wait for you.
I am your fairy lady and I wear in my hat
a little heart where your name is written
and a single thought that says 'I love you'.
And I wait for you to bring me in a flight
the honey of your hugs, the chest of desire.
What a ship adrift in your tide,
what shipwreck wind, what fog surrounds me.
Naked I have the soul but I don't want
to cut the flowers I prefer for this bouquet,
because if you don't come back soon there will be no gardens,
nor dream of poppies, nor time of jasmines.
Naked the soul when I don't have you;
and if I have you, the soul spins in ways I don't understand.
Take me to the gates of paradise,
because if I go with you, no permission is needed.
