The Practice

Today I step into the ring at a weight that’s not mine, Roberto Duran
I don’t fear the risks or what they’ll say, my mother always told me
Son, people will talk, but nothing happens to those who don’t face it

I didn’t come from the streets or the ghetto, but I know well
What it’s like to be in trouble and in tight spots
I know exactly how it feels when you lose a brother
I know how it hurts when the one you helped turns around and stabs you in the back

I know what it’s like to sacrifice for a dream, to be laughed at
To have your effort undervalued
I got a master’s degree and haven’t even used it
Because I put God and my calling first
I’ve endured all kinds of mockery and insults
You come to tell me I can’t live off the ministry?
(Hold up, hold up, this is a bit controversial
But I think it needs to be clarified)

I don’t do this for money, I invest my cash
Because I know the harvest will be worth more than cash
My goal has always been to present Christ
Who is the true and only way, I insist
That the kids who are lost
Know they can have flow without acting out

God bless the life of Almighty
And all those who come to Christ, all the seculars who fear God

We’ll keep praying for you, knowing that in Christ
You’ll have more than just bling and Mercedes
I’m not a rapper or a reggaeton artist, I don’t believe in labels
I’m a creative who travels the planet talking about God
Making a difference is my goal
I’m another prototype like Miguel Cotto in flip-flops

What God tells me, I seize, but without ego
So I don’t fall like Conor McGregor
From day one, the word has been my engine, climbing the ladder without an elevator
We must proclaim unity but also model it
We need to be patient and forgive the faults

When we mess up, we need to own it
Because that’s what it takes if we’re one body
Before the fall comes the pride, that’s why I stay cautious
Because this is about making God shine
(The important thing is that God is always glorified
And sometimes people waste time worrying about who didn’t tag you
Or didn’t give you a like, when this isn’t what it’s about)

Nobody has to give me anything, what I have I’ve earned through my effort
What I am, I simply am because God himself has decreed it
I don’t expect you to understand what I’ve been through
But I tell you, I’ve been lifted from the lowest

When God blesses you, no one can curse his divine justice, no one escapes it
When he says yes, no one contradicts it
My strength is internal, I don’t need biceps
If you don’t believe me, then come and test me, I don’t make a move if God doesn’t approve first
In college, I passed the tests, and making my album was the real test
Sure of myself since I was born, that’s why I am this way, I grew up listening to Vico C
Singing my heart out is how I learned, that’s why I don’t cry, if I fall, I get up from the mud

I discovered Willy’s music at 13, and it was a trigger, why do you see me behind if I’m ahead?
Then I met him in 2010, it was a dream come true, I don’t know if I expressed it

(Speaking) Hey! And we definitely need to give honor to whom honor is due, give it to those on our own team, it should never become something complex
And I’m clarifying that the purpose of this theme is for you to be redeemed and to know that no one can bring you down if you’ve been instructed in God

There’s no favoritism here, so don’t be surprised, it doesn’t matter if you’re from the hood or from Manny Montes, if you’re skinny, fat, straight, or Alex Zurdo

God has plans for you even if the world says it’s absurd
Maybe your family relationship isn’t at its best right now, but I declare that like Funky, your family will serve as an example to the nations
