Estrada da Esperança

Jayne Jayne

Road of Hope

I came from far, very far
Very distant and only I know how much I went through
I walked on the road of hope
And of longing, to seek happiness
How many stones I've already rolled
I walked beside a enchanted young man
He was a poet and I believed in so many things
Young girl madly in love
On a moonlit night for love
I surrendered

A child to take care of another child
She cried and how many times I cried!
At every door I knocked, it closed
And for everything that was missing
Again I surrendered
And so many times, so many nights
So many others, for very little
Just so there wouldn't be a lack of bread
I walked on the corners
Of this life, bittering the crazy pain
Me and God in solitude

When I thought
That the illusion was over
Someone arrived, gave me their hand
And told me... That they wanted me
Without caring about my past
They wanted me by their side
To build a home
They married me, gave their name
To my son
That gesture won over my heart
I love this man and my life
I owe to him, I discovered beside him
The value of a passion

And for those today
Living what I lived!
And for those today
Crying what I cried!
I want to say that after
The darkest night
And the most full of bitterness
Another day will dawn
And everything passes and everything will pass
Don't lose faith
Don't stop dreaming
Because any day your life
Will change, your day will come
And love will be reborn
