A Cruz, a Coroa e os Cravos
Jeann & Junior
The Cross, the Crown, and the Nails
Jesus Christ condemned
A signed decree
Prescribed to die
An order from the Palace
Authorized by Pilate
How it would be
Ordered to make the nails pure steel pointed
To pierce the Master's hands
A crown of thorns
To tear blood vessels ordered to be made there
Ordered the carpenter, mold the wood today for a criminal to use
He will be humiliated
By soldiers whipped, wounded until bleeding
Pilate also ordered
The wood he cut, make it in the shape of a cross
He will be taken, today he will be tortured
The Son of God Jesus
On the cross the Master was crucified
But on the third day he rose
He immediately called Peter
And said these words with love
Take care of my sheep, Peter
Tell the people what I will tell you
I came to save humanity
I don't want to condemn any of them
Go to the one who forged the nails
Tell him I forgive
And to the one who wove the crown of thorns
I forgive
For the one who built the cross
And hung my body
I want to save his soul and
My forgiveness I give to him
