Building a house from scratch is much easier
Than taking an already built structure and having to renovate
But I know it's necessary, change what needs to be changed
There's a lot wrong here to fix

The work will be long and difficult, I know
But this renovation will bring You back inside me
Do what is necessary, change what needs to be changed
Do what I don't know

My foundation was damaged
And the roof is all cracked
And the plumbing where the water flows
Is old, is bad, is all broken

There's no longer any wiring
No power, no maintenance
Start urgently this renovation in me

And the doors of the house and even the windows
Are destroyed, they no longer close
And that made it easier for the enemy
To steal my crown, salvation at risk

From now on, Jesus, I surrender
The key to the house, for I know it's right
If it's in Your hands, it's successful

I am a temple, a house, and a dwelling of the Holy Spirit
But how many times do I neglect this privilege
Not fixing the cracks
And these infiltrations will corrupt my character

With the absence of Christ in my house, I got comfortable
I let the dirt in, look where I got
But it's not irreversible, with this renovation it's still possible
Jesus to dwell inside me again

Establish my foundation in Your word
And may my faith redo my roof
Urgently fix the plumbing
Bring the water of life to my heart

Jesus, please, change the wiring
So that the light returns to my heart
So I can discern what comes from the dark

May the doors and windows of my soul
With vigilance be restored
And may prayer reinforce security
So the thief doesn't steal my inheritance

I give you control of everything, then
The key to the house is in Your hands
I surrender control
Of my heart
