De Qué Nos Vale
Jessi Uribe
What Good Does It Do Us
Reaching the top
Achieving people's gaze
Eliciting applause from everyone
Being first in the late rows
Changing the world
Perhaps with a new message
That disrupts hearts
Being the center of all attraction
Having everything in life is part of the plan
Being loved and wanted, truly respected
Everything is good, but in fair measure and reason
Let's look back, where it all began
What we were before, what we are today
Why insist on taking away the glory from the Lord?
What good does it do you to achieve what you want
To be applauded by people, if behind the curtain
Sits the giver of life
Waiting for the day you pay attention
What we have, we have by grace
And by His mercy, and by His immense love
And when the curtain opens
If anyone admires you, may they see the image of God
Lord, forgive me
If the applause or any comment
Have moved me
To take the glory for myself, God
I thank you
For your love and mercy
I strip myself of all grandeur
My crown, I place at your feet
What good does it do you to achieve what you want
To be applauded by people, if behind the curtain
Sits the giver of life
Waiting for the day you pay attention
What we have, we have by grace
And by His mercy, and by His immense love
And when the curtain opens
If anyone admires you, may they see the image of God
