Al Despertar
Jhoan Cantoral
Upon Awakening
I stopped to think about the depth of His love
That without deserving it, He was crucified for me
In a dream, I saw His body fading away
His lips crying out in torment and pain
And I watched as He walked to Calvary
I could see the crowd following Him, the cross was too heavy to bear
When He died, I received life, and that’s how He gave me forgiveness
He made me reborn with His spilled blood
And I live for His love
In my dream, I saw soldiers beating Him
Many accusing Him, His friends denied Him
I saw His hands nailed, I felt like crying
His body was torn apart for carrying our sins
And upon awakening, I couldn’t hold back
Because it was there that He spoke to me for the first time
I couldn’t contain my tears, when He died, I received life
And that’s how He gave me forgiveness, He made me reborn with His spilled blood
And I live for His love.
And upon awakening, I couldn’t hold back
Because it was there that He spoke to me for the first time
I couldn’t contain my tears, when He died, I received life
And that’s how He gave me His forgiveness, He made me reborn with His spilled blood
And I live for His love, I live for Him.
