Yo Me Manejo Bien Con Todo El Mundo
Joan Manuel Serrat
I Get Along Well With Everyone
I get along well with everyone, my father can be calm about that: he left me his savings in life and I cover the expenses of the nursing home. With my wife, when we see each other, we never have the slightest conflict: she takes care of feeding the children and I give her a certain amount per month for the services. I don't know why, caretaker, you go around telling those vulgar things about me, that I'm always ready to serve the boss, what he says matches what I think, I cover up his messes, lend him my apartment and he recommends me for a promotion. I know how to treat my subordinates with a gentle hand, I call them comrades, they say I'm very friendly and in return they never ask me for anything. I can't understand what they write on the bathroom walls about me, that I get along well with the authorities, I never call them by vulgar names, I tolerate their barbarities and they take care of my interests. In spiritual matters, I get along perfectly with the cassocks, I finance their temporal goods and they arrange my eternal salvation. I don't know how anyone dares in this community to question my morality.
