With its marbles and bronzes, that old café in Once seemed like Chacarita with a ladies' orchestra. Many afternoons, a group of young people would go there to listen to them from the dark reserved area for families. In their box, the ladies repeated paso dobles and rancheras with great care, not enough to impress. They were blondes, with flowers in their hair and moved their hips like dolls with a very sad demeanor.
