La Lluna
Joan Manuel Serrat
The Moon
Some drink it in a glass and some take it by spoonfuls; new, full, waxing and waning, it's good as a sedative. The moon provides company and eases the intoxicated with philosophy. There's no better amulet than a piece of moon in your pocket; against all kinds of dangers more than a rabbit's foot, a piece of moon serves: it takes away sorrows and brings love and fortune. It can be given as dessert to children and they will sleep a deep and gentle sleep; a few drops of moon in the eyes of the elderly help them await death in peace. Place a tender moon leaf under the pillow and you'll think what you want to believe and see what you want to see, you'll move the puppets. Have a jar of moon air at hand for when you suffocate. For the disappointed and the prisoners, give them the key to the moon and they won't want any other treasure, for those condemned to death and those condemned to life there's no stimulant like the moon if taken in moderation.
