La Mala Racha
Joan Manuel Serrat
The Bad Streak
As long as this bad streak lasts, everything's falling out of my pockets and my memory.
As long as this bad streak lasts, I lose my keys, my papers, the train, and my way, like I have the whole world against me.
As long as this bad streak lasts... I trip over my own feet, it rains salt when I'm thirsty.
As long as this bad streak lasts, I mix everything up, I tangle it all, I break it all.
As long as this bad streak lasts, I forget names, confuse faces, and I wonder if it’s just pure coincidence.
As long as this bad streak lasts...
Or someone who doesn’t wish me well. Damn whoever cursed me.
As long as this bad streak lasts, give me shelter.
