Reflexiones de Este Gallo
Joan Sebastian
Reflections of This Rooster
To the wise, few words are enough
So says the saying that coincides here
I know that in your heart, even if you don't open it
The deluded one who now says goodbye is not there
I also know that, by force, not even huaraches
If they squeeze you too much, they cause calluses
Don't think they are reproaches
These are just the thoughts of this rooster
I could have come to venerate you
That's right, but no way, mine was not ours
But that's no reason to cry
I'm leaving to forget, I'm a master at that
You have to test the water for the sweet potatoes
If you shine too much light on it, the saint will burn
Frost spoils corn
And you were spoiled by loving yourself so much
I could have come to venerate you
That's right, but no way, mine was not ours
But that's no reason to cry
I'm leaving to forget, I'm a master at that
