The Letter
In this letter, I’m sending you my picture
So you can see the smile I wear
I don’t cry or suffer from your forgetting
From dance to dance, I’m smiling here and there
With this letter, I truly thank you
For leaving me for good, out of your life
What I have now is what I deserve
And no one can take it away, no, no
And no one can take away the dancing I’ve done
Shaking it over here, shaking it over there
Shaking it all around
Shaking it over here, shaking it over there
And a few tap sounds here and there
I don’t expect a reply to this letter
But if it comes, I’ll gladly take it
I hope it says you’re living it up
And that life is treating you right
As a postscript, I’m sending you some good advice
If you don’t take it, it’ll be your problem
Life is short, and the body gets old
Find your light, yeah, yeah, yeah
Find your light and break out of your mold (dancing)
Shaking it over here, shaking it over there
Shaking it all around
Shaking it over here, shaking it over there
And a few tap sounds here and there
Shaking it over here, shaking it over there
Shaking it all around
Shaking it over here, shaking it over there
And a few tap sounds here and there
