Barrio Viejo
Joan Sebastian
Old Neighborhood
An old neighborhood, a seedy bar
As luck would have it, I was there
For this humble profession of songbook
And today I want to tell you what I experienced there
A lady got out of a very luxurious car
Proud bearing, dressed all in grey
He made his way through the drunken clientele
And he shouted without caution to an unhappy drunk
I loved you like no one else
I really loved you
I loved you like no one else
I have loved no one like anyone else
I must love no one else
I loved you like no one else
You were always my sunshine
It hurts more than a dagger
See that today my sun goes out
Between glasses of liquor
I loved you like no one else
I remained silent, and so did the people
And suddenly the drunk reacted
He drew courage and strength from his past
Crying, upset, he answered the lady
I
I loved you like no one else
I really loved you
I loved you like no one else
I have loved no one like anyone else
I must love no one else
I loved you like no one else
I wanted to make you happy
Today something kills me
You didn't want to be my wife
You wanted to be an actress
I loved you like no one else
