O Vento
João Alexandre
The Wind
The wind blows wherever it wants
No one knows where it comes from
Or where it goes on its path
If it will create waves in the sea
Take the raft out to fish
Or if it will make the mill work
Likewise, will live
Those who want to walk
Beside God and do His will
Today they will be around
Who knows, tomorrow they may leave
But wherever they are, they are truly happy
Grateful in everything
Knowing that God is Greater
Than the will of men and
All the forces of the world
And His love higher
Than the star in the sky
Sweeter than a honeycomb
And deeper than the abyss of the sea
The wind blows wherever it wants
No one knows where it comes from
Or where it goes on its path
Likewise, will live those who surrender to God
And will never, ever walk alone
