Facing the Crime
There lies the body stretched on the ground
Instead of a face, a photo of a goal
Instead of a prayer, a curse from someone
And a silence serving as amen
The nearest bar quickly filled up
Thugs alongside workers
A drunk climbed on the bar table
And made a speech to the councilman
The street vendor came to sell!
Rings, chains, cheap perfume
Bahian woman to make
Pastries and a good cat barbecue
Four in the morning
The saint descended at the flag bearer's door
And the young folks decided
To stop, and then
There lies the body stretched on the ground
Instead of a face, a photo of a goal
Instead of a prayer, a curse from someone
And a silence serving as amen
Without haste, everyone went their way
Thinking about a woman or the team
I looked at the body on the ground and closed
My window facing the crime
The street vendor came to sell!
Rings, chains, cheap perfume
Bahian woman to make
Pastries and a good cat barbecue
Four in the morning
The saint descended at the flag bearer's door
And the young folks decided
To stop, and then
There lies the body
Stretched on the ground
