Countryman
What a simple life, what a good life
It's just me and God, our children and the wife
What a simple life that I lead
Living in the woods, a true countryman, happy and I don't deny
Early I rise, look to the corner
Pray to the saint and thank God
Call the wife, make some coffee
Give a head rub to my children
Go out to the yard, roll a cigarette
Smoke and smell leaving a trace
And the kids give me a hand
With satisfaction they take the pail
And happily singing I go to the corral
What a simple life, what a good life
It's just me and God, our children and the wife
What a simple life that I lead
Living in the woods, a true countryman, happy and I don't deny
The meal is sacred, chicken and okra
Accompanied by country egg, rice and beans
After lunch, without much effort
I rest my body in the shed
Play with my children
And see that, in their eyes, a shine
The richness of a poor man when he discovers
A united family is a noble thing
Very content, I thank God
What a simple life, what a good life
It's just me and God, our children and the wife
What a simple life that I lead
Living in the woods, a true countryman, happy and I don't deny
Living in the woods, a true countryman, happy and I don't deny
What a simple life, what a good life
It's just me and God, our children and the wife
What a simple life that I lead
Living in the woods, a true countryman, happy and I don't deny
Living in the woods, a true countryman, happy and I don't deny
