China Atrevida
João Luiz Corrêa
Daring China
Every time the sun rises
It brings with it an anxiety
From a China where longing
Is the poncho of my life
What a daring China
That leaves without warning
And only comes in the early hours
In these dreams of illusion
My rough thought
Goes aimlessly down the road
I sense the time is coming
In an almost certain hunch
My ranch was left deserted
Without the comfort of the brunette
Who only lives in my poem
In a disguise of loneliness
Who only lives in my poem
In a disguise of loneliness
And so time goes by
With its secrets
And I, in the emptiness of my saddlebags
Wait for luck to arrive soon
Because within each mate
There's a crazy wait
In the gourd, the taste
Of that mouth
And on the face, the tears, to console
