Nossa Princesinha
Joao Marcos e Danilo
Our Little Princess
Seems like it was just yesterday
When I first took her to the school gate
The pick-up time was six
Five-thirty, me at the door
She's not sleeping with us anymore
All independent, already wants a cell phone
Agrees on what time to come home
But she doesn't even see a problem in being late
Our little princess is growing up
And we're getting older
Watching her fly and along with her, time
But the truth is, for parents, the child never grows up
We forget about this detail
And we keep getting older
Watching her fly and along with her, time
But the truth is, for parents, the child never grows up
We forget about this detail
It squeezes the heart, but we're proud of our girl
Life is the teacher now
She's not sleeping with us anymore
All independent, already wants a cell phone
Agrees on what time to come home
But she doesn't even see a problem in being late
Our little princess is growing up
And we're getting older
Watching her fly and along with her, time
But the truth is, for parents, the child never grows up
We forget about this detail
And we keep getting older
Watching her fly and along with her, time
But the truth is, for parents, the child never grows up
We forget about this detail
It squeezes the heart, but we're proud of our girl
Life is the teacher now
